The Moto-machi riverwall was built for the enjoyment of the citizens; it was awarded the Civil Engineering Design Special Prize in 2003.

This poplar tree is a lasting symbol of the recovery of post-war Hiroshima. While it was blown over in Typhoon 18 in 2004, new branches began to grow, becoming the third generation of this tree.

Gangi are steps that were once used as docks for boats. Today, there are approximately 400 gangi remaining in the former Hiroshima City area
